Stories & Folklore
Stories & Folklore

This LARP focuses on stories in several ways. On one hand we want to explore stories told by humans throughout the ages in the form of fairytales and folklore. Often, those stories were told to explain surprising and at times cruel turns of nature - as such, their darkness and cruelty will influence the LARP's feel and mood.
On the other hand, our play vision is a narrative one. We encourage our participants to let their in-game actions be driven by beauty, drama, and emotion rather than logic and reality. In other words: We aim for beautiful stories, not reasonable ones.

Passion, Lust & Celebration

Passion, Lust & Celebration

The LARP will include a ball, a celebration of those that live forever, and get bored easily. Therefore it is our aim to have passions run high into a wild dance of emotion, intrigue, love, hate, and the simple will to be more, to experience existence to its fullest.

Magic, Dreams & Mysticism

Magic, Dreams & Mysticism

With you, we want to dive into a world that is not human. It is a world where the restrictions of human understanding and propriety cease to exist.

A world in which dreams are nothing but wishes made true.
Magic is real yet nothing to be defined or grasped by any conscious being. It just is and with it come possibilities - good and bad, if one can even make that distinction - that do not exist in the real world.

Cruelty

Cruelty

Doing harmful things for entertainment or to follow a strong emotional urge is common amongst Fae and we expect it to play a part in our game. We take inspiration from the dark and often repulsive fairytales and folklore stories - Fae are selfish creatures with a childish sense of cruelty and violence. In this world, the most beautiful are often also the cruelest.

Note: We explicitly exclude any sort of sexual violence from this. We have no interest in playing on sexual abuse as a theme. It will not be part of our game and not tolerated in participants' actions either.

Intrigue &
Social  Play

Intrigue & Social Play

The setting of this game will not be one with a focus on action. Much more, we aim this to be a highly social game with lots of play on relations, alliances, and old feuds. A setting in which an exchange of glances or an invitation to dance can do or undo more damage than a weapon drawn. Fae love to challenge each other to wager and playing games and constantly rival in intrigue, favor, and attention.
There will of course also be overarching issues to play on but we want the focus of the play to be on personal small stories in the given context.
